Be Intentional In Everything You Do
We’ve all heard this quote by Benjamin Franklin, “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” It’s simple and very true. When it comes to goals and things we want to accomplish in life, we need a plan to get there. We must also be intentional in everything we do. You know, operating with purpose.
According to dictionary.com, Intentional means done on purpose; deliberate. This allows you to spend more time being proactive than reactive. Your productivity goes up and by the end of the year, you’ve accomplished the majority of your goals.
You can’t be intentional without planning. Set aside some time and plan each day, week and month for the year. It helps me to have a personal planner for the year and I carry it wherever I go. Now, I know some things come up but 80 percent of the time you should be planning your day…not the other way around.
Be consistent. You have to consistently plan and revisit your plan often because life happens. A few things to consider when planning:
What are your goals?
What actions will help you accomplish those goals?
Other important things to you want to intentionally plan?
One of my goals is to be intentional in my planning and meeting my goals. What are some things you want to operate out of intention with? I’d love to hear from you.
Be intentional. Be great. Make 2018 amazing.
