Happy Twenty Twin Twin!

With every new year comes new opportunities. We normally take this time and make resolutions for the year since we are so hopeful. You see it…“new year new me”. It wasn’t until 2020 that I let go of the pressure to make resolutions just because and instead used 1-3 words.

My goals now are a lot more intangible, for example, the inner work that nobody sees - evolving and getting better. Growth is ugly and uncomfortable with a lot of messiness if we are being honest. My word for 2022 is INTENTION. I strive to be intentional in everything I do, from career and motherhood to side projects and how I show up for myself and others. I want to be intentional with my boundaries and how I respond to those who don’t like them.

With this kind of work, it’s hard to see progress. Always remember that slow and messy progress is still progress, no matter how small. It’s hard to see at the moment because we expect progress to be loud but it is often silent.

Happy New Year y’all! Hope you’re present and enjoy this ride called life. Every day won’t be sunshine and I pray for your strength during those moments where it seems it has been dark too long. I hope you create space for your feelings and don’t rush through them. You are loved and destined for greatness. Tap into it.
